Warranty
Info By use of any Like New Computer product(s), you agree to all of the terms set forth by Like New Computers listed here regarding its warranty and return policies. Warranty Terms: Most new components purchased at Like New Computers will carry a limited manufacturers warranty to cover defects in workmanship and materials. Please ask for details. For products whose Warranty is handled through Like New Computers we will, in the event of a defect, repair or replace the product, at our discretion, with new or rebuilt parts of equal or similar value. The warranty is extended solely to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. A receipt of the original purchase will be required before warranty is rendered. For those products whose Warranty service is not handled through Like New Computers, the customer is responsible for processing returns of defective products directly to the manufacturer unless otherwise stated at time of purchase. Some products such as monitors and PCs may require the original box & packaging for shipping to authorized repair facilities. The customer is responsible for providing original packaging and may be subject to certain shipping related fees if original packaging cannot be provided. Branded New Computer System: A branded New Computer System consists of the desktop, tower unit or laptop with all its internal components, which is assembled and configured by the manufacturer. Warranty Terms: New computer/notebook systems carry at least a one year warranty through the manufacturer and terms of the warranty will vary with each manufacturer. (Ask for Details) Most manufacturers will provide optional extended warranty. Warranty Terms: The warranty is extended solely to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. A receipt of the original purchase will be required before warranty service is rendered. The customer is responsible for processing returns of defective products directly to Like New Computers unless otherwise stated. This warranty only covers failures due to defects in materials or workmanship during normal use. It does not cover damage that occurs during shipment or is caused by products not supplied by Like New Computers. Failures which result from alteration, maladjustment of consumer controls, improper maintenance, modification or service by unauthorized service providers, or damage that is attributable to power surges/spikes, static electricity, or an act of God are not covered. This warranty does not cover any form of software related issues such as, but not limited to: software/operating system corruption, poorly written hardware drivers, computer virus damage, year 2000 related problems or any other factors not controlled by Like New Computers. There are no warranties that extend beyond the description on the fact hereof. All warranty labor is performed at the “Standard Service” level. The warranty may become void if the Like New Computer seal is removed, tampered with or broken unless written permission is attained directly from Like New Computers. Computer monitors must contain all original boxes and packaging in order to provide warranty service. Limitations and Exclusions: There are no other express warranties except those listed above. Like New Computers shall not be liable for loss of data or other incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use or misuse of this product, or arising out of any breach of this warranty. All express and implied warranties, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are limited to the applicable warranty period set forth above. Like New Computers will, in the event of a defect, refund, repair or replace the product, at our discretion, with used or rebuilt parts of equal or similar value. The warranty is extended solely to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. A receipt of the original purchase will be required before warranty is rendered. Although every effort is made to ensure quality control, the customer is ultimately responsible for any incidental damage that may be caused by a faulty used part. Also if a computer system / notebook system is diagnosed by someone other than A Like New Computers technician, (Diagnose Fee ˝ Hour Labor) then parts that are purchased can not be returned due to misdiagnosing. Definition: An off-lease computer system consists of the desktop, tower unit or laptop with all its internal components, which is audited and tested by Like New Computers technicians, that has been previously leased or rebuilt. All Off Lease notebook batteries are As-Is, untested and carry no warranty. All used external peripherals such as monitors, printers, scanners, etc. Will fall under the USED PARTS WARRANTY. Warranty Terms: Like New Computers will, in the event of a defect in materials or workmanship, repair or replace the product, at our discretion, with used or rebuilt parts of equal or similar value for 30 days after the date of purchase. The warranty is extended solely to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. A receipt of the original purchase will be required before warranty service is rendered. All warranty service must be performed in an authorized Like New Computers service center. This warranty only covers failures due to defects in materials or workmanship during normal use. Definition: A factory refurbished computer system consists of the desktop, tower unit or laptop with all its internal components, which is assembled and configured by the manufacturer, that has been previously owned or rebuilt. All factory refurbished computer / notebook systems will have an operating system license and will include recovery options, as supplied by the refurbishing manufacturer. Batteries on factory-refurbished notebooks are guaranteed to take a charge and run for a ˝ hour, excluding DVD or CD-ROM use, with power management settings set for optimal battery life. All used external peripherals such as monitors, printers, scanners, etc. Will fall under the USED PARTS WARRANTY. All warranty service must be performed in an authorized Like New Computers service center. This warranty only covers failures due to defects in materials or workmanship during normal use. It does not cover damage that occurs during shipment or is caused by products not supplied by Like New Computers. Any problem related to the services performed will be reviewed by a manager and addressed to the customer’s satisfaction. Warranty Terms: Extended Warranty is available on most New Systems and Notebooks through the manufacturer. Details will vary. Terms: A special order product is defined as a product that is not on the Like New Computers retail stock list, and would have to be ordered.
